Zines and Projects

Below are works that I've created as educational resources on various topics. Full versions are linked as PDFs.

These projects are reflections of personal interests as they intersect with my role as an educator. They are, as all of my work is, in process; I would cherish any feedback or comments on these pieces.

Created for a class on technology integration in education, I wrote and illustrated a zine on non-human animal cognition that showcases some of what we know about how other species are making sense of the world and their experiences. Find a PDF here.

This zine was inspired by a class I took on teaching climate change and emotionality. This is a new, emergent field that requires new ways of thinking, recontextualization of lessons from the past, and room for learners to work through negative feelings that come as a response to learning about the climate crisis. This zine was the product of a project where I aimed to explore the relationship between learning sciences and spaces of resistance. I give a summary of my findings of how embodied learning occurs at protests, occupations, and other sites of resistance against the carceral state. Find a PDF linked here.
